What Rockstar announced
When pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, Rockstar’s launch details said digital pre-orders also receive a free month of GTA+, describing it as the best way to get more out of GTA Online, with instant access to Grand Theft Auto V and other classic Rockstar titles in the GTA+ Games Library.

What is GTA+?
Rockstar launched GTA+ in 2022 as a monthly membership for GTA Online on the current-generation consoles. Does GTA+ work with GTA 6?
This is the big unanswered question. Today, GTA+ is built around GTA Online, which runs on the GTA 5 engine and world. Rockstar has not said how long that will last or whether players’ progress could carry over to anything new. Until it does, it is safest to assume GTA Online and GTA 6 are separate, and that a GTA+ month mainly benefits players of GTA Online.
